Smart COMM Developer/Architect - Independent Contractor

We currently have a contract position for an Independent Contractor in the capacity of SmartCOMM Developer. This position helps to design and develop solutions which will ultimately result in migrating all current documents to SmartCOMM as part of the Guidewire core system.



Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of SmartCOMM concepts & development
  • Experience developing and integrating Guidewire and SmartCOMM
  • Prepare design and implement deliverables for moderate to highly complex custom developed web and multi-tier applications, Guidewire Core Systems products (ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter), and software to integrate with other enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of SmartCOMM Products Advanced Template Designer (Business Content Studio and Admin), Data Modeler (Business Object Studio), Review Now, Interview Now and Dashboard (not all products are a requirement)
  • Sound knowledge about SmartCOMM Modules - Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer and Web Editor
  • Should be well versed with preparation of the XML data schema and their mapping to business data objects
  • Consolidating form templates, recognizing common graphical elements, information blocks, layouts, variable data requirements, functional similarity and multilingual
  • Developing and documenting forms designs and form specifications, including form usage and derivation rules, data mapping, variable logic, templates, styles, layout etc.

    Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education
    and at least 3+ years of experience in SmartCOMM solution design and development.
  • Ability to work with technical teams (developers, architects, QA, infrastructure) and business partners to
    document and implement changes/enhancements on time and within budget.
  • Excellent team player with a proven background of individual contribution.
  • Strong track record in building strong relationships with clients and business partners
  • Excellent interpersonal, documentation, communication, and presentation skills
