    May 18, 2016 (Edmonton, AB)

As you are all aware, wildfires continue to threaten the RM of Wood Buffalo, and there is no timeline as to when the residents can return to their homes.

Please be patient as the government agencies work to make your community safe for your return.

Our thoughts remain with you all, and we are continuing to pray for rain.

Should you have any questions regarding your claim, please contact the numbers above.

  • A message from our president and CEO:

    May 10, 2016 (Edmonton, AB)

As we begin the second week of helping our customers, we have realized how this event has affected so many. Our thoughts and prayers continue for the residents of Fort McMurray and our thanks go out to all first responders who worked countless hours to save the city from further damage.

As a company we have decided not to set up at evacuation centres. We have taken a pro-active approach and have contacted all of our personal lines customers who had a Fort McMurray address by telephone or email. We have issued cheques for additional living expenses for these people. More than 85% of our customers already have a cheque in hand. If, for some reason, you have not heard from us, or require further assistance, please call us at 1-800-272-5614.

We have met a lot of you this past week, and know these are tough times, but the spirit and resilience we saw showed us that the community will rebuild and continue to make Fort McMurray a great place to live.
