Broker Experience Advisor - Temporary (12 month contract)
We currently have a temporary full-time position available for a Broker Experience Advisor located in our Edmonton office. This role is approximately 12 months in duration. Reporting to the Manager, Broker Experience, the Broker Experience Advisor position provides processing advice to brokers as well as support with third party systems as they relate to our internal underwriting systems. This includes phiX and phiX+ (the company’s portals) as well as BMS and Rating Software integrations.
What You'll Do:
- Provide technical support for Brokers, Vendors and Underwriting Teams via the related Broker/Portal Support Helpdesks;
- Troubleshoot and identify defects related to BMS/Rating Integrations to phiX/phiX+ and within phiX/phiX+ itself;
- Provide advice, support and guidance to branch underwriting departments and brokers on the use of phiX/phiX+;
- Testing and implementing underwriting changes focusing on system efficiency improvements and programming requirements in new product development in phiX/phiX+;
- Ensure the data transfer and integration from BMS’s, Rating Software & phiX/phiX+ to our core operating systems (GIMS and Guidewire) and vice versa to ensure accuracy and compatibility with all the systems;
- Communication of changes and training updates to our Broker Experience Trainers/Auditors to ensure broker training documentation is up to date and accurate;
- Liaise with the Corporate Underwriting team in the development and maintenance of phiX/phiX+;
- Provide support for and serve on special project committees as initiated by the company;
- Various other duties as required.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum 5 years related experience in an underwriting role;
- Understanding of the industry and area of service;
- Knowledge of underwriting risks and risk management;
- Experience and interest in working with technology and automation;
- Guidewire experience would be considered an asset;
- Customer service driven;
- Ability to multi-task and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
