Cybersecurity Analyst - Temporary

Job Summary
As part of the Computer, Networks and Infrastructure (CNI) team, under the guidance and direction of the CNI Manager, the Cybersecurity Administrator will be responsible for participation of the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of our cyber security defenses. You will also be responsible for keeping on top of the ever-evolving threat landscape while staying current with leading edge countermeasures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete recurring cybersecurity related tasks:
  • Security Reviews
  • Privileged Account Audit
  • Backup Checks
  • IT Asset Audit
  • Patch Management/Status
  • Monitor/Review security events and generate tickets for problems or issues
  • Monitor help desk tickets and respond to and triage tickets related to cybersecurity
  • Complete daily cybersecurity related reporting and metrics into dashboard.
  • Assist Cybersecurity Analyst with other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Application and infrastructure penetration testing tools
  • 2+ years in securing and monitoring Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Ideally one year of experience in network or cyber security
  • Completion of or working towards IT security certifications
  • Familiarity with relevant cyber security guidance for the P&C industry (e.g., NIST and OFSI cyber security guidance) is an asset
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including protocols, operating systems and networks
  • Strong analytical abilities, with ability to identify problems and determine, implement solutions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
