Manager – Data Conversion Team (2 Year Temporary Role)

We currently have a temporary position available for a Data Team Conversion Manager. The duration of this role is two (2) years in length. This role will build, lead and support team of up to 14 full-time temporary Conversion Specialists who will work to ensure that all our renewing insurance policies will successfully and accurately migrate to our new core system (Guidewire). More specifically:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define the job duties and responsibilities for the Data Conversion Specialist (DCS) roles
• Work directly with the Director of Business Integrations and Human Resources to recruit, select, and onboard the DCSs
• Support the development of training materials and ensure that all DCSs are trained on both the GIMS platform and the new Guidewire system
• Work directly with the project team, with direction from Underwriting, to finalize data for insurance policies in Guidewire to ensure successful data migration, including manual data entry (input or correction) for policies that do not successfully auto-renew and/or that require manual review
• Oversee the day-to-day work of the DCSs, which includes tracking the assignment(s) and completion of the work done by team members
• Provide guidance and first level support to DCSs regarding data input and processing of migrated insurance policies
• Provide strong leadership to the data conversion team
• Monitor team performance, including regular O3 meetings with each team member, to ensure effective performance
• Verify document conversion as well as billing and claims conversion tasks as they arise
• Create and sustain a rewarding work environment within a high volume, stressful project setting
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years insurance experience
• 2 or more years of management/leadership experience preferred
• CIP or FCIP designation (or working towards)
• Exceptional level of attention to detail including a high degree of numerical accuracy
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated people leadership and team building skills
• Effective project leadership and change management skills
• Strong knowledge of various computer software including Office 365 and insurance data systems
• Solid knowledge of insurance including good overall knowledge of underwriting, accounting, and claims
• Knowledge of Guidewire is an asset
